Facebook Business Pages help retain Clients – and reach new ones!

More than a half billion people already use Facebook to re-connect with old friends, socialize, exchange pictures and plan events on a daily basis - but did you know that this most popular social network can also help your business?

Facebook offers several very targeted advertising solutions; both CPC and CPM based, but like Google Maps, Yahoo Local, Yellowbook.com, and other databases some of the best offerings are free!

Business Pages (formally known as Fan pages) are similar to your personal Facebook profile page, but are designed specifically for businesses. The advantages of setting one up include:

  • Helps your business get “found” in more places, more often.
  • Facebook Pages now appear in Bing search results - and other search engines will most likely follow this “socialization” of their results in the near future.
  • You can organically build a group of “followers” which will allow you to reach prospects and clients in new ways (via posts on your “wall”).  In the traditional sense, think of this as your opt-in mailing list.
  • Allows you to increase your  client retention through unique offers and ongoing communication.
